Riječi

There is an old tradition of reaching down into the body, feeling into the heart, and touching the spiritual energy that resides there. Not to control it, much less to press it down, but to make space for it to rise, to lift out of the darkness, and spread its briliant petals toward the light.

As with any mystical practice, this one is always suppressed, even by those who would take over its outward form, simply because, it puts people back into their power. Those who progress in this practice become a light to themselves, a light that scatters the shadows of delusion and opens space for the spontaneous unfolding of a truer life. Such people know love as the highest authority, and they refuse to recognize the false gods of wealth, status, and influence. They feel a higher intelligence moving within them, pulling on the strings of their hearts, and that makes them wild and unpredictable but also generous, loving and kind.

On these counts, people who progress in this practice, and I mean the inner practice of being in touch with their own hearts, these people become dangerous to the systems that depend on holding us all down and isolating us from one another. But love is intrepid. People who know love follow the currents of their hearts, and they nudge their brothers and sisters to do the same. This is the spiritual practice that must now prevail. The practice of feeling into the heart, because the world order has begun to collapse, and the time is right for spiritual awakening. We want a world in which all people are loved, all people are welcomed, and all people are assured that they belong.

We want a world that recognizes the inherent worth and dignity of all human beings and gives them the resources and opportunities that they need to thrive. We want a world in which the collective power of the people reigns, a world that refuses oligarchs and their toxic conceits. Now is the time to imagine that world, to plan for it, and begin to shape it into being. Because the world is on fire. And from the ashes, the spirit of humanity will rise.

Opening the heart is painful. And the heart will ask you to do things that the mind will reject. But the wisdom of the heart is supreme. And there is no higher calling than to embody that wisdom.
